In addition to Bob O'Brien's many duties at the PA Dept. of Labor & Industry, Bob was appointed by Gov. Tom Wolf as Pennsylvania's sole State-Level Equal Opportunity Officer for the Commonwealth.

SPECIAL INDEPENDENT ADVISORY COMMISSION
After a horrific building collapse in Philadelphia resulting in 6 deaths, Mayor Michael Nutter assembled a blue-ribbon commission to review all aspects of construction, demolition, permitting, building code enforcement and safety training. Bob O'Brien was chosen to be a member of this commission because of his expertise in construction and building codes' enforcement.
